The MATA Experience
Working for Myanmar Alliance for Transparency and Accountability (MATA) provides you with insight into the administration of Civil Society Organisations (CSO). CSOs’ provide voice to society on issues that might adversely affect them. As one point of conventional tripartite meetings and negotiations (the other two being government and business). MATA focuses on the EITI, Natural Resource Goverance, Law Reform, the FLEGT (and more information on their tabs accessible in Our Projects)
Imagine being able to say that you were part of the team that influenced changes to environmental law for the protection of Myanmar forests. Imagine being able to say that you were able to foster relationships with business and government to come to terms of mutually beneficial arrangements. Imagine helping your village raise awareness for environmental damage affecting their wellbeing. Imagine being a part of a 518 member organisation with delegates and influence Myanmar-wide on issues that you care about.
Training and Development
MATA is committed to providing an environment where staff are supported to develop their skills, enhance their effectiveness for the benefit of the MATA members and their individual careers. Training and development can take many forms. MATA has a strong commitment to one-on-one mentoring and coaching on-the-job and this is on-going for all staff.
